Monate Game Lodge – “Year-End Functions in the Bushveld”
Host Your Year-End Function in the Limpopo Bushveld
End the year somewhere your team will remember, a private bushveld reserve two hours from Gauteng, with venues, dining, accommodation and safari in one place.
Monate Game Lodge is a 4-star year-end function venue set on a 3 000-hectare private game reserve in Limpopo — roughly two hours from Pretoria and Johannesburg, and just 30 minutes from the Kranskop Tollgate near Modimolle. The malaria-free reserve gives teams, clubs and companies a setting that feels a world away, without the long journey or the airport queues.

Whether you are planning a relaxed end-of-year dinner, a full awards evening, or a close-out conference that rolls into a celebration, we tailor the day around your group. Choose from open-air boma venues, an age-old natural cave, or our modern dining room, then add game drives, overnight accommodation, and bush activities to build the year-end your team actually looks forward to.

Planning Your Year-End Function
No two year-end functions look the same, so we build each one around your group size, budget and the kind of evening you have in mind. Below are the venues, activities and add-ons most groups start with — our team handles the arrangements and keeps it on a single booking and a single account.
Choose Your Function Venue
Your setting does more for the evening than any decor budget can. Each of our venues carries its own character, and venue hire can be arranged to suit the size and style of your function.
-
Bush Boma — open-air dining for up to 120 guests
-
Lodge Boma — a fireside setting beside the dining room
-
Natural Cave — intimate dining for smaller groups
-
Dining Room — modern, air-conditioned, all-weather
Menus are as flexible as the venues, from plated three-course meals to traditional potjie, braai, or generous buffet-style spreads.

Add a Game Drive to the Day
A guided game drive is the natural way to open a year-end function. Teams head out in open game viewers with our field guides as the afternoon cools, then return to the boma with something to talk about.
-
Guided drives across a 3 000-hectare private reserve
-
Buffalo, giraffe, zebra, hippo and a variety of antelope
-
Close to 50% of South Africa’s bird species in the area
-
Malaria-free, so the whole team can join
Bush walks, clay pigeon shooting, stargazing and spa treatments can also be added for groups staying over.
Combine It With a Conference
Many companies use the year-end function as the close of a wrap-up conference or strategy session. Our air-conditioned venues cater for 8 to 120 delegates, with a deck overlooking a watering hole for breakaways between sessions.
-
Venue hire, data projector, screen and flip chart
-
Notepads, pens and stationery
-
Complimentary high-speed Wi-Fi
-
Arrival tea and coffee, plus mid-morning and afternoon refreshments
-
Working lunch, three-course dinner and full breakfast
-
Overnight en-suite accommodation
A 24 hour conference package lets you meet, celebrate and stay over without moving your group anywhere else.
