Your full board accommodation will ensure you never have to go hungry. The coffee station is available in the dining area throughout the day, creating a homey and welcoming atmosphere.

NATURAL CAVE
An Intimate Unique Dining Setting in Our Natural Cave Overlooking a Waterhole
This truly natural cave offers a unique dining experience and can host up to 80 guests at a time, 60 inside, 20 outside. The cave was formed approximately 300 000 years ago, when a vast inland lake slowly drained away, with swirling water weathering the sandstone to create this remarkable space. Beyond being an exceptional, unique dining venue, the cave was also used by Bantu-speaking tribes around 1 800 years ago as a rain-control and spiritual site.

The cave’s setting feels like something out of a bushveld fairytale. A winding path leads over a waterfall and curves around the koppie, opening up to a magnificent view of the reserve and the cave’s entrance. Enjoying unique dining in the natural cave is always a memorable and atmospheric experience.
BUSH BOMA
A SERENE AND PEACEFUL DINING EXPERIENCE UNDER THE STARRY AFRICAN SKY.
Nestled a short distance from the main lodge, our Bush Boma is a truly distinctive dining venue set between towering natural boulders, offering both seclusion and a deep connection to the surrounding bushveld. Designed to host up to 120 guests, this open-air space transforms after sunset into an unforgettable setting where the African landscape becomes part of the experience.
While electricity is available, the ambience is intentionally shaped by the soft glow of candles, traditional paraffin lanterns, and the gentle flicker of the central boma fire. Suspended strings of warm lights add a subtle elegance overhead, casting a golden hue against the rugged rock formations and creating an atmosphere that is both intimate and striking.
Dining at the Bush Boma is as flexible as it is memorable, with a variety of menu options tailored to suit each occasion — from beautifully plated meals to authentic potjie, traditional braai, and generous buffet-style spreads. Each experience is designed to complement the setting, encouraging guests to relax, connect, and fully immerse themselves in the moment. Surrounded by the quiet sounds of the bush and the natural beauty of the reserve, the Bush Boma offers more than just a meal — it is a sensory experience that captures the essence of African outdoor dining in a setting that is both refined and deeply authentic.

The Lodge Boma is cradled between a rocky outcrop and our dining room.
The centralized Boma fire creates a pleasant yet bubbly atmosphere while dining with your friends or colleagues. Many late night bushveld stories have been shared around this social setting.
We also host breakfasts and a welcoming lunch on arrival at this lovely venue. Start your morning with sunlight peeking through the rocky outcrops, birdsong in the air, and a tasty breakfast to enjoy at your own pace. End it just as gently — with a sundowner in hand, the hills glowing in the last light of day, and the quiet sounds of the bush settling in for the night.
