Hi Cathrina Cathrina, I do not have words to describe our stay at Monate. From every gentleman that carried our luggage to people that waited on us to people in the bar, to people in admin to people on the game drive, just everybody was so amazing. Their service was outstanding. The food was excellent. The place is out of this world. Everything was perfect!
Sorry for the late response to your mail, I just can’t stop enthusing about this place to everyone. A couple of people seem very interested. If you come across enquiries from Spar, you know I referred them (including the MD’s secretary). What inspired me most was that every request was met with the utmost pleasure, every little details attended to. Every single person over extended themselves. I have been to quite a few places, none compared to this. If you know any place better then you must let me know. The most part i liked was going out to see wild animals, I was very scared but your guys made me feel at ease. We really enjoyed the delicious food, the friendly service and attention
to detail. Since this weekend was a reward for lots of hard work, it
was particularly important to us to enjoy the experience as much as
possible. What really made our stay special was to start our day early
on Saturday with a relaxed drive to the dam where we could watch the
sun rise and the animals and birds awakening, and then come back to
a delicious breakfast. After that we expected to spend a relaxed day
in our room and at the pool, but we were pleasantly surprised when we
were offered the opportunity to spend the day peacefully basking in
the sun at the Hampton lodge while the Absa team building went on in

The folks there were super accomodating. For example, the last day we were there Danielle, my 5 year old didn't feel up for an early morning game ride, but Sam, my 7 year old, did. The ranger agreed to take Sam out along with the other guests and keep an eye on him. That was very kind of him. The staff were very spoiling, too, which I guess is the whole point, but it was still nice to be on the receiving end of such great attention and service.
