2007 Newsletter Monate, a total “Experience” just waiting to be discovered.! Greetings to everyone! We at Monate would like to wish you a very happy and prosperous 2007! What a superb year 2006 was for Monate! Here is some exciting news to take you on an inspiring ride into the new year. We are proud to announce that we have been accredited a Four Star Rating with the national grading council, a superb achievement indeed. Our new Conference Centre has proved a resounding success. Equipped with all the latest technology for the discerning delegate and set in a peaceful environment that is conducive to team building, the facility is also ideal for intimate weddings and special occasions. Set amidst beautiful gardens, the recently upgraded Monate suites and rooms offer an opportunity to relax in a tranquil environment. Ideal for Executives and Honeymooners are the five star Hampton and Rushton Tented Lodges, decorated with a sophisticated blend of both Chinese and Colonial antiques, each with open access to a private sundeck and pool, oozing complete luxury where pampering and attention to detail is absolute. The prestigious Cheetah project is a resounding success and guests have the privilege to track them in the wild. We have had to say farewell to a few of our beloved cats recently, but we are happy to know that they have moved off to wonderful new homes. Bubbles, one of our cheetahs that was recently re-located into a bigger reserve, has become a proud mother! Enyani has moved off to Mkuzi Game Reserve which is in Natal and Storm has moved to a reserve in the karoo. They will be sorely missed! We are hoping to receive a mother and two cubs, which will be placed in our Cheetah Boma for rehabilitation. At present we have only two cheetahs on the reserve. Mogale is our one free-roaming cat and Mosetsane is still in the process of being rehabilitated in the Cheetah Boma. The Horse Safari program continues to leave guests breathless as they spend time exploring the game farm, enjoying a variety of vegetation types, thick woodlands, vast open plains, rocky outcrops and koppies. An airstrip and helipad offers quick access to the wonders of Monate, or a comfortable two-hour drive from Johannesburg brings you to our doorstep. With the New Year come new life and new beginnings and we have recently had a few additions to our family. A giraffe baby was born a few weeks ago as well as many Blesbok, Impala and Blue Wildebeest calves. As the beauty of the Waterberg unfolds, we are ideally positioned to welcome anyone looking for the perfect leisure experience or corporate getaway. The choices are endless at Monate... Game Drives, Horseback Safaris, Bird watching or just total relaxation around the various pools. The lodge boasts a fully equipped gym, natural cave with lookout lapa and an outdoor Jacuzzi.
